MVO: The Voice-Over Guys’ likes to check-in with our male voice talents and today we talk with SCOTT BURNS about a recent voiceover project he voiced.

1. Can you tell us about a recent voiceover project you’ve recently enjoyed working on? Who was it for?

Alaska USA Federal Credit UnionWell this particular project was from two years ago, but a residual check I received in the mail this past week prompted my memory of it being such an enjoyable gig. The job was for Alaska USA Federal Credit Union promoting their Million Points Mania Sweepstakes. What was so fun about it was getting to work in studio with another voice actor! (It is so rare to breath the same air with your fellow players doing dialogue spots in this age of ISDN and Phone Patch!)

2. What was the project all about?

This was through Remer Inc…a Seattle advertising agency…written by Chris Harwood and produced by Steve Heinke at Pure Audio Studios. Who knew Credit Unions had Sweepstakes? But that’s what this project was for.

3. How did the project come to you? Agent? Website? Past client?

I auditioned for the role via my local agent, Jamie Lopez at the Actors Group.

4. What was the most interesting or enjoyable part of this project for you?

The major treat was working with the super talented actress Hope Shanthi, who played a grocery store customer against my checkout clerk role. Her energy was so contagious! Plus when they asked her to do a series of variations on certain lines, she delivered each one totally different and unique from the other. The experience of watching her work was such a reward for me.
