]]> Andy Barnett MVO The Voiceover Guys Voice Arts Awards 400MVO: The Voice-Over Guys’ ANDY BARNETT was recognized as Best Voiceover Talent in the category of Outstanding National Commercial Campaign, TV or Web during the 2017 Voice Arts® Awards, held at Lincoln Center in New York on Sunday, November 5th.

Barnett’s work as a voice talent for Wendy’s Restaurant and their “Double Stack 4 for $4” spot earned Andy the award.

Andy, whose awarding winning spot also featured voice actor Michael Schwalbe, was originally nominated in two categories including Best Voiceover in the category of Outstanding Promo Demo Reel.

The Voice Arts® Awards provide international acknowledgement of the extraordinary skill and artistry that goes into the voiceover acting and the associated roles of creative director, copywriter, producer, audio engineer, casting director, voice director and others. The first The Voice Arts® Awards were given out in 2014.

ABOUT ANDY BARNETT

Andy has been acting since he was a kid (and by some accounts he still is a kid). Some voice actors claim versatility, but Andy embodies it. His natural conversational voice is friendly, laid back, just like your buddy from college or your next door neighbor. More than one client has suggested he kind of sounds like Jon Hamm at times. But don’t let that fool you, Andy also has the vocal gravitas to do everything from a younger sound to a deep masculine blue-collar Midwesterner, from a straight announcer to an international neutral accent, and last but not least, a variety of character voices. Just don’t ask him to sing or dance (the poor guy can’t carry a note, and his coordination is rather cringeworthy).

]]> In addition to really enjoying voice-over performing, New York City-based voice actor (and member of MVO: The Voice-Over Guys) CHRISTIAN ROSSELLI loves trains. He really enjoys train trips as a way to see the country.

One of the trips Christian has always wanted to take was the train from New York City up to Buffalo, NY, and this weekend, he did.

Which was a nice treat for Buffalo, NY-based voice-over talent PETER K. O’CONNELL. With this latest MVO: The Voice-Over Guys get together, Peter got to show off his hometown to Christian, who had never been to Buffalo before, during one of the nicest and busiest times of the year in the Nickel City.

And Peter knows a few things about train travel as well so they got to swap train stories as well as solve all the world’s voice-over problems.

A fun time was had by all, er, both.
