GEORGE WASHINGTON III – One of the largest financial services groups in Africa with almost 8 million clients, Nedbank, hired George as the voiceover talent for their recent national television and radio campaign. George also narrated the video introduction of The Pearl, the medical innovation and education district in Charlotte, NC – the first medical school in the Charlotte area. For the podcast “Finding Sexy Sweat” from iHeart Media and School of Humans, George was the voice of former sportswriter and reporter Reggie Payne, who died in 2020. Finally, George has also produced a new character/game voiceover demo.

MEMO SAUCEDA – To promote its limited time Takis Fuego Meal across more than 7,000 restaurants worldwide, Wendy’s Restaurants signed bilingual Memo as the English speaking, Spanish accented narrator in their humorous web campaign for the spicy meal. Memo also voiced 2 audiobooks in Spanish for the Library of Congress, Café y cigarrillos, by Ferdinand Von Schirach; and Heartbreak Is the National Anthem: Cómo Taylor Swift reinventó la música pop, by Rob Sheffield.

PETER K. O’CONNELL – Peter was signed as the voice of television and radio spots for the a group of regional Ford Dealers. The media campaign’s focus was to create significant regional awareness of the 2025 Ford F-150 Hybrid XLT 4×4 SuperCrew truck as the ultimate all-weather companion for drivers. Radio promo wise, Peter K. O’Connell has also voiced a series radio promos for the Family Life Radio Network, with 70 Christian radio outlets in New York and Pennsylvania. The Raleigh, NC-based O’Connell also has a new political voiceover demo and a new automotive commercial voiceover demo.

SEAN CALDWELL – Paramount+, one of the top ten most-subscribed video on demand streaming media services globally (79 million paid memberships) secured Sean as the male voice talent for one of its most recent network promos involving San Diego Comic-Con. Lollapalooza India, scheduled for January 24-25, 2026 in Mumbai, signed Sean as their commercial voiceover talent for concert series’ fourth installment. Finally, Cleveland Clinic, one of the world’s largest healthcare systems, asked Sean to narrate their staff training videos.

JORGE INFANTE – New to MVO this year and a highly popular Spanish voice talent, you likely heard Jorge Infante most recently in a national television and web advertising campaign for Ashley, an 80 year old  family company whose retail, outlet and manufacturing groups have help make it the World’s Largest Furniture Manufacturer and Largest Furniture Manufacturer in the United States. Jorge was also signed as the Spanish voiceover talent by multinational energy corporation Chevron, for their recent community awareness campaign across New Mexico. Finally, Jorge provided the English narration for a video about the South American tour of the Mormon Tabernacle Choir.

ROBERT (BO) BARKER – Ranked in 2025 as the most valuable apparel brand in the world, Nike recently secured Bo as a voice talent for part of their Scary Good campaign. As well Bo was signed by another huge global brand, Coca-Cola and its Fanta brand, as the voice to their “Wanta Fanta” campaign. Entering his 11th year as the Voice of Player introductions for the Iowa State University Cyclones Football team, Bo Barker’s voice has now been heard by over 3.5 million people there. Finally, Robert (Bo) Barker has also served as the Narrator for a short film for the American Battlefield Trust: “The Shot Heard Round The World | A Nation is Born at Lexington & Concord”, a short film commemorating the events that hearkened the beginning of the American Revolutionary War.

MIKE MCGONEGAL – American Express With has over a hundred million merchant locations across its global network, including the Pacific Rim where the global payments and premium lifestyle brand aired international TV spots in Japan, Singapore and Hong Kong featuring the voice of Mike McGonegal. Caesar’s Palace’s Horseshoe Casino Baltimore hired Mike as their male voice talent to highlight upcoming events and promotions there. Finally, Novartis, one of the largest pharmaceutical companies in the world, hired Mike recently as the voice of an eLearning program.

TIM POWERS – One of our new MVO’ers, Tim is the radio, television and on-line voice for 15 car dealerships in New York and Pennsylvania, supporting Kia, Hyundai and Nissan. Tim Powers is also the national TV and streaming voiceover talent for Purina’s Petivity brand of products that provide research and products so pet owners can provide better care for their animals. Tim also recently completed ADR for the true-crime series Corpse Hunters for HBO Max. Finally, Germany’s “The Super Elfkins”, which is currency on TUBI, Amazon Prime, and Hulu, features Tim as the lead character voice actor in that series.

DAN HURST – Shaquille O’Neal may tower over Dan Hurst on a basketball court, but Dan IS the voice of the General in the Spanish language national TV spots for The General Insurance — and even Shaq defers to The General. Now in his third year, Hurst also continues to voice English and Spanish commercials for Ford Motor Company. Dan also continues to serve as the English and Spanish promo voice for radio and television stations around the world, including from the No. 1 news source in Sri Lanka, Ada Derana.

JOE PASSARO – With McDonalds addition of their McDelivery service on their app, the internationally known fast food brand has a digital regional marketing campaign running in the US featuring the voiceover talents of MVO’s Joe Passaro. Southern California Edison, serving a population of approximately 15 million within Central, Coastal and Southern California, signed Joe as the voice talent for their TV and Radio PSA entitled “Public Safety Power Shutoff: Emergency Preparedness.” Lastly, America’s top-rated insurance for dogs, cats, puppies, and kittens, Lemonade Insurance secured Joe as their voice for a recent national digital radio campaign called “A Dog’s Love Letter”.

CHADD PIERCE – One of MVO’s Radio Imaging Gurus, Chadd Pierce, has been very busy updating his current roster of Radio Imaging clients and adding new ones – some who haven’t announced the format flip yet, so shhhh! One of Chadd’s long standing clients, WKHX – New Country 101.FIVE in Atlanta continues to rule the New Country music scene so Chadd’s been busy cutting liners and promos for a number upcoming concerts as well as for the station’s Kincaid and Dallas morning show. Chadd is also providing station imaging for the home of New Country in the Pacific Northwest, KPNW – 98.9 TheBull, Seattle WA and Today’s New Country, 93.3 WFLS in Fredericksburg VA.

STEVE HENDERSON – Steve continues his multiyear live announcer award show work for NASCAR including the main award show Cup Series, Xfinity Series and the Truck Series; he’ll also serve as the Voice of God for the Regional and International Circuit Awards and then, finally as the VOG for the IMSA Awards. Steve will also be heard on the upcoming ad campaign for a new mystery ride to be revealed for the 2026 season at Dollywood. Lastly, Steve Henderson was also the male voice talent for a commercial and a corporate video featuring all of the summer finds you’ll discover at Sam’s Club.

DARRELL BROWN – Luxury Car Maker Mercedes-Benz needed the perfect blend of refined cool in their voiceover talent for their recent national “Dream Days” television campaign – they found that voice in Darrell Brown. Behold, when McDonalds wanted a regional television push for their assorted McCafé drinks, Darrell was their voiceover of choiceover. And for their digital campaign, Darrell was the voice talent on a spectacularly produced on-line ad for Pirelli Tires. Extra bonus points if you spotted Darrell on-camera in a national spot for America’s Best.

ANDY BARNETT – The National Hockey League’s newest team, formerly the very bland Utah Hockey Team (and formerly the Arizona Coyotes before that), finally decided on a name, a logo, a color scheme and a promo voice as Andy Barnett voices promos for the Utah Mammoth on their TV flagship, The Spot – Utah 16 (all are fantastic). Nominated for three voiceover categories in the national One Voice Awards, Andy won for Best Character (Animation Voiceover) Performance for his work in “VeeFriends Cartoons” – Produced by Moonbug Entertainment and for Radio – Commercial Best Performance for Barnett’s voiced spot “Rocket Mortgage – Ask Your Home” – produced by Mirimar.

BRANDON POLLOCK – NBT Bank, with 177 locations across New York, Pennsylvania, Vermont, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Maine, and Connecticut, hired Brandon as their voice for their latest radio and TV campaign in those states. For their social media and on their web site, Rochester, NY-based Excellus BlueCross BlueShield signed Brandon to narrate their latest brand video. Having already narrated 27 audiobooks in 2025, Pollock’s most recent audiobook titles narrated include Washington’s Lieutenants (Historical Non-fiction) and Embattled Brother (Fiction book 4 in Beyond the Badge Series).

As we begin 2025, George has hit another milestone, performing as a singing, large-mouth Canadian bass fish.

In Frito-Lay Canada’s new national TV advertising campaign for Doritos, entitled “For The Bold”, the “I Won’t Apologize” TV spot humorously satirizes the polite Canadian stereotype (always apologizing), inferring that Doritos can make any Canadian (even a large-mouth Canadian bass) bolder. The soundtrack for the national TV spot is based off of Gloria Gaynor 1978 classic hit “I Will Survive”.

Many may know that among George’s many talent, he is also a professional opera singer.

Not only does George sing his solo line, he also sings harmony with some of the characters later in the spot.

George’s vocal creativity clearer matched very well with Doritos’ creative team in this spot to establish a very effective marketing message for Doritos in Canada.

MVO: The Voiceover Guys is pleased to announce that the Carolina Media Pros association has presented their 2024 Lifetime Achievement Award to voice actor/writer/producer ROWELL GORMON.

Rowell has been a member of MVO: The Voiceover Guys since its founding.

Carolina MediaPros, based in Raleigh, NC, is a community of working media professionals who are focused on consistently producing top quality media in all its forms.

The Lifetime Achievement Award, named in honor of longtime WRAL-TV news anchor Charlie Gaddy and his wife Nancy, is presented annually during the Peak City International Film Festival. It is awarded to a person of integrity who has contributed greatly to the entertainment field in a family-friendly way.

From his Raleigh, NC-based Imaginator Studio, Gormon has continued to serve clients worldwide for over six decades. Rowell’s career spans commercial and public radio, theatre, on-camera tv and video performances/narration, animation, award-winning copywriting and audio production. Gormon also continues to serve as a teacher and mentor to scores of professional voice actors across the country.

The online voice of Colonel Sanders for KFC Canada, Rowell has even worked as a “hired hand” for Jim Henson’s Muppets.

Rowell’s own puppet character, “Mr. Zoot” (developed for WRAL-TV’s “Time for Uncle Paul” and top-rated WRAL-FM morning man Bob “fbi” Inskeep), received his own miniature version of the Gaddy Award during the Carolina Media Pros Lifetime Achievement Award presentation.
