We know what you’re thinking – MVO: The Voice-Over Guy’s DAN HURST is a very in-demand voice-over talent, Kristen Wiig is a very popular movie star and Stephen Colbert is a big time TV star. They each have popularity and talent in common.
Yet, you are saying to yourself, none of them are known for their love of parakeets.
That’s an interesting observation you’ve made and while we don’t know why you made it, we’re going to follow up on it here as it advances our story.
We can’t speak on behalf of Kristen and Stephen (nor are we really on a first name basis with either) but our Dan sure loves parakeets or more specifically a parakeet named Polly.
A while back, Dan was the primary voice talent for a national television commercial for the mechanical toy called Perfect Polly.
Now, we’ll leave it to you to judge the value of such a device but Hollywood sure noticed this spot and Polly.
Stephen Colbert highlighted Polly on his old TV show, “The Colbert Report”.
And in her new movie “Welcome To Me” Dan’s Perfect Polly spot is found right at the open of the movie. Awesome!!!
Dan’s now got his hopes up to be invited to the Hollywood premiere of Kristen’s movie.
Hoping is good but maybe wait on the tux rental until the invite arrives, Dan.
