BARNETT_October17_MVO UpdateANDY BARNETT – At the end of September, it was announced that Andy was nominated in the 2017 Voice Arts Awards for best Promo Demo and Best National Commercial. If you’re in the Southwest, you’ve probably heard Andy sound muy bueno on TV and radio spots for fast food chain Taco Bueno. Then finally, if you’re in the Northeast, you’ll hear Andy as the official voice of the 2017 Hess Toy Truck commercials this Christmas.

 

GEORGE_October17_MVO UpdateJOHNNY GEORGE – This summer Johnny was the voice of singer Michael Buble’s European Concert Tour (but was evidently not asked on stage to do a duet with the famous singer). He is also the new national voice for Generac Generators popular Standby Generator line. Lastly, but not leastly, Arizonians will hear Johnny as the voice of the Arizona Lottery’s “Holiday Scratchers” Stocking Stuffers Campaign from Thanksgiving through to the New Year.

 

O'CONNELL_October17_MVO UpdatePETER K. O’CONNELL – Exciting times for this new North Carolinian! After moving from Buffalo, NY to Cary, NC (just outside of Raleigh) in August 2016, this past August Peter, his wife and children moved into a new home and his new voiceover studio. While moving, Peter also completed a national commercial for Western Union, the show open and promos for Fox Sports North’s Jason Mitchell Outdoors as well as voicing a promo for Exhibitionism, the Rolling Stones first ever global touring exhibit.

 

CLAMP_October17_MVO UpdateJAMES CLAMP – James has been working hard since our last update, voicing TV and radio commercials for Land Rover, Bentley and Nickelodeon. He has also recently narrated corporate videos for ING, Philips, Greenpeace, IBM, Oxfam, Red Bull, Heineken, and Booking.com. James also served as the voice of medical narrations for Novo Nordisk.

 

FRIEDMAN_October17_MVO UpdateDAN FRIEDMAN – From casinos and resort in California to automotive dealerships in North Carolina, Dan’s been voicing for clients from coast to coast since his last update. Cache Creek Casino and Resort in Brooks, California called on Dan for a recent radio campaign. Then back east, in the Carolinas, Auto Advantage also used Dan for a series of spots promoting their dealership.

 

EBAUGH_October17_MVO UpdateDUSTIN EBAUGH – Movies, beer and airplanes for Dustin since we last visited with him. He voiced a national commercial for Sony Pictures new movie Flatliners, starring Ellen Page and Nina Dobrev. Los Angeles has been listening to Dustin as the voice of Bud Light there. From down on the ground to up in the sky, Dustin also voiced commercials for UPS and Qatar Airways.

 

COWLRICK_October17_MVO UpdateMATT COWLRICK – For our Australian living in Canada, Matt is thrilled to announce that construction was completed on his new voiceover studio inside his family’s new log home in Vancouver, BC. And from that studio, he has been voicing spots for TD Bank and Jack Daniels (he is featured in both brands’ national campaigns). In the UK, you can hear Matt on promos for promos for Draft Kings UK and in Australia, he’s voicing national spots for AFL Australia.

 

DAVIS_October17_MVO UpdateCHUCK DAVIS – Chuck has just resigned to extend some multi-year national and international voiceover contracts. He will continue his long term network imaging voice deal with Star World in India, while also continuing in his fourth year on-air as the national voice for Blue Cross-Blue Shield. He also will continue as the national voice talent for Prevagen.

 

TEST_October17_MVO UpdateTOM TEST If you haven’t heard Tom since his last update, you haven’t been listening. He’s voiced for brands including Benjamin Moore, Sprint, Yelp Eat24, Trex Lumber, Williams-Sonoma, and Bank of America, Ziploc, PepsiCo’s Trop50, Bonefish Grill, and Haribo Gummi Bears. Tom has also added framed movie poster reproductions of classic 50s sci-fi movies like “Forbidden Planet” and “Earth vs. the Flying Saucers” to adorn the walls of his home studio. While it doesn’t improve on his already broadcast-quality audio, it sure does make his studio a geek’s dream space.

 

BARKER_October17_MVO UpdateBO BARKER – Big sports news for Bo. For the fifth year, the Big 12’s Iowa State Cyclones football team’s starting lineups will be introduced by Bo Barker at all Iowa State home football games at the University’s 61,500 seat Jack Trice Stadium. The NBA’s 17-time World Champion Boston Celtics will hear Bo’s voices during home games as part of a marketing partnership between Boston Celtics and Sentient Jet. Cannes Golden Lion winning commercial director Steven Bernstein selected Bo as the perfect voice for the project.

 

MILES_October17_Update_GraphicBRUCE MILES – Specializing in medical narrations, in the past few months Bruce has voiced projects for medicines that prevent relapsing Multiple Sclerosis, and fight multiple myeloma, and for an anti-smoking vaccine. In a recent marathon he recorded five 10-hour Medicare Advantage Plan manuals for a major health insurance company in just eight days. He also voiced a promotional video for a surfboard equipped with a Samsung cell phone and a retelling of dozens of episodes from the Bible.

 

WASHINGTON_October17_MVO UpdateGEORGE WASHINGTON III – George made his VO work a family affair has he just finished voicing a short series of children’s books with his daughter Grace, which was her first paid voiceover work. Regional supermarket chain Harris Teeter has brought George on for another year as the voice of their TV and radio ads for the NFL’s Carolina Panthers and ACC basketball seasons. Finally, George has started as an on-air traffic host for FOX46 in Charlotte.

 

SWEENEY_October17_Update_GraphicPATRICK SWEENEY – Clients that Pat completed voiceover work for included the Audi Q5, Global Medical Research, Mosquito Squad, Coldwell Banker, Oracle, Biola University, American Osteopathic Association, United Health Group, Clinton Savings Bank, Pepperjax Grill and Kauffman Tire. Pat also completed two medical Animation spots for weight loss drug Gelesis 100.

 

CALDWELL_October17_Update_GraphicSEAN CALDWELL – Sean recently narrated PGA Championship shows on CBS, The in-dealership Powerwall display for Mercedes Benz AMG 2018 vehicles, NBA, NHL, and MLB promos for Fox Sports, and spots in India for VH1’s Supersonic concert. He also voiced instructional videos for the Cleveland Clinic. Outside of the studio, his family spent some time volunteering at Abba House, a ministry dedicated to helping broken women be made whole.

 

GORMON_October17_Update_GraphicROWELL GORMAN – Rowell is a very popular voice talent for iphone and ipad app games – given his significant and impressive character voice resume as he was again booked to record another in the well-received series of app games for kids, this time it’s “Grandpa’s Time Machine”. He is also currently a popular retail commercial voice for two supermarket chains in Nevada and Utah, Lins Fresh Market and also Maceys. Rowell also voiced three explainer videos for Olympic Veterinary Tables as the voice of a trusted veterinarian.

 

VENABLE_October17_Update_GraphicBRAD VENABLE Since we last checked in with Brad Venable, he’s been making a major splash in Los Angeles! His recent bookings include major national commercial campaigns for Brita and Sonic Drive-in, video game roles like death knight Thoras Trollbane in World of WarCraft: Legion and Ahune the Frost Lord in Hearthstone. Brad is also coming to a network on your television, voicing his first major promo for a morning show that you might have watched today!

 

HURST_October17_MVO UpdateDAN HURST – Lot of e-learning and IVR for this Kansas City Chiefs fan. Dan is working on an eLearning project training and certifying heavy equipment operators as well narrating a series of HR training videos for government employees. Dan also recorded (in English and Spanish) IVR projects for two telephony companies. A national hospital chain asked Dan to revamp the recordings on their phone system while a national medical billing company serving several hundred medical practices had Dan record new IVR for them as well.

 

VENABLE_October17_Update_GraphicDOUG TURKEL – In just the past few weeks, Doug’s been trusted by clients to say things like: “related comparator interventions”, “FIPS 240-dash-2 level-1 validated enterprise-class encryption” and even “methyltetrahydrofolate, and a unique liposomal delivery method to help balance the homocysteine pathway”. He’s also been asked to say things for radio & TV voiceovers for Coca-Cola, Sprint and Acura (most of which used more, uh, conventional words.) Regular viewers of the Home Shopping Network will recognize him as the Promo voice of the retail powerhouse over the past 10+ years.
