MVO: The Voice-Over Guys have been hard at work since our last update PLUS we’ve added some great NEW VOICES, all featured in our June 2017 Voiceover Updates! So check out these updates and click on the links to LISTEN to the demos of our guys!
DUSTIN EBAUGH: Based in Las Vegas, Dustin recently completed national radio promos for the new Fox TV series “24 Legacy” (which made its series premiere after Super Bowl LI, delivering the most watched episode ever in the franchise’s nearly 16-year history with 17.6 million viewers—maybe cause of Dustin’s radio promos –maybe). Dustin also did a national radio campaign for Silver Palate Pasta Sauce as well as some IVR for Dick’s Sporting Goods, a leading omnichannel sporting goods retailer with over 600 stores.
DOUG TURKEL: We are thrilled to welcome Doug Turkel as one of the newest Voice-Over Guys. Most recently you’ve heard Doug as the network promo voice for Home Shopping Network (HSN), which was founded 37 years ago as the first shopping network, and today is a leading interactive multichannel retailer. Doug is also the network promo voice for BBC’s “Sherlock” starring Benedict Cumberbatch. Doug was also the voice behind the regional radio and TV campaign for the 30+ branches of East Boston Savings Bank.
PETER K. O’CONNELL: Newly relocated to Raleigh, NC from Buffalo, NY, Peter has produced a BRAND NEW commercial demo (it was “only” 8 years since his last commercial demo update). Always working whether moving or producing a new demo, Peter completed voiceover projects for Duracell Batteries, GM’s Corvette Racing as well Bonefish Grill and the North Carolina Victims Assistance Network.
JAMES CLAMP: James has been super busy corporate narration and explainer videos for brands including ING, LinkedIn, KPMG, Barclays, Qatar Friendship Fund and Danone, medical narrations for Novo Nordisk and elearning voice work for Roche. Additionally he voiced radio and TV commercials for Bloomberg, Renault Zoe, Babbel, Nivea and Trivago.
CHUCK DAVIS: Chuck just completed production on four new national TV spots for Prevagen, a brand he has been a primary voice talent with for some time. He has also voiced new TV promos for the syndicated coverage of “The Americas Cup” while also recently signing a fourth contract with “Star World” and FX networks in India.
SCOTT BURNS: Inspiring their customers with a “feeling of exhilaration, joy and well-being that will enrich their every day lives and make them smile,” Mazda called on Scott as their voice for a recent high profile training video. Scott also voiced a political commercial for voters rights. He also has revamped his web site.
ANDY BARNETT: MVO: The Voice-Over Guys is please to welcome Andy as one of our newest members. Andy is a very busy voice talent. In fact Andy just voiced four different national spots on radio, TV, and the web Wendy’s! And for the REELZ Network, Andy just narrated the television documentary “Rich and Acquitted, which is airing now.
MATT COWLRICK – Our amazing Australian and now Canadian voice talent continued to be heard around the world with his voice projects. In the States, Matt can be heard on a national commercial for GoPro and on the Just Dance 2017 Launch Trailer. Up in Canada, Matt has voiced four national spots for Mitsubishi Canada and down in Australia, Matt is the featured voice in a national spot for VistaPrint Australia.
TOM TEST: Still amazed that the Cubbies won the World Series, Tom’s Chicago-based voiceover studio has pounded out national TV and Radio commercials for Snapper/Simplicity Mowers, Paddletek, and Haribo Gummi Bears. He done regional commercial voice work for PepsiCo, Sprint, and Bonefish Grill and corporate work for AbbVie, Huntington Bank, KPMG, SC Johnson, Molex, and Dell. During the political season, Tom did numerous political commercials, including many for End Citizens United on behalf of candidates in 5 different states.
PATRICK SWEENEY: From Toronto, Ontario, MVO: The Voice-Over Guys welcome male voice talent Patrick Sweeney to our group. He’s been busy voicing multiple national commercials for Verizon Toughbook. Additionally, Patrick has been heard alot on the radio in commercials for Kmart, Applebees, Audi, Orlando Harley Davidson, University of Pennsylvania Health System, Allegheny Health Network, Mountain Vista Medical Center, Emory Healthcare and the Artemis Institute. Plus if you’ve seen the animated TV series Doki and Friends or Lazoo, you’ve been hearing Patrick there too.
JOHNNY GEORGE: While Johnny has been busy with many voiceover projects in London, he is on the move from his current studio. Johnny is moving into a brand new home next month, complete with a brand new, custom designed voiceover studio!!! Johnny’s “Anthem Studios” will make Johnny sound even MORE amazing. Of course Johnny will be available for voiceover gigs during the transition.
DAN FRIEDMAN: From his fantastic studio in Asheville, NC, Dan continues the growth of his radio imaging business as the station voice talent for Alt 101.5, KAMM-FM in Missoula, Montanta. The station debuted on Groundhog Day and you can hear it online at alternativemissoula.com. Dan also continues as a voice for the Peach Pass in Georgia and for Hardees Restaurants in select markets.
BRUCE MILES: The Lionel Trains of our youth now have digitized voices and Bruce will be the voice of the conductor for the Silver Meteor which travels from New York City to Miami, the Frontier Days Excursion from Denver to the famous rodeo in Cheyenne, and the classic Empire State Express that used to run from NYC to Buffalo. For his medical narration clients in London, Paris, Dublin, and Washington D.C, Bruce has been covering topics from last chance chemotherapy drugs, to new vaccine technology that doesn’t need preservatives, and even anti-itch medicine for dogs. He is also still the voice of the Mary Brown’s Famous Chicken and Taters fast food chain in Canada.
DAN HURST: As a voice talent in both English and Spanish, Dan is usually doing the work of two people, but in 2017, he has been especially busy. He has been doing significantly more Automotive Advertising as well as alot more Broadcast Imaging, serving as the station voice for many radio and television stations around the globe. International corporate narration work has been very busy this year as well.
MIKE COOPER: From the mountains of Asheville, NC, by way of London, England, MVO: The Voice-Over Guys are gratified to welcome Mike as another new member of our voiceover marketing collective. Having only been in the states a few years, Mike started in broadcasting, working as a news presenter on BBC Radio. In his adopted country, Mike recently completed a pretty massive training program for IBM, teaching IBM’s salespeople how to sell their “as-a-service” lines.
BRAD VENABLE: From sunny Hollywood, California USA, our Brad has been working on a bunch of projects not the least of which was voicing a promotional television and radio campaign for Honda. He also booked a national TV spot for the launch of the Brita Stream. And maybe most interesting to producers, Brad has updated his voiceover demos for Commercials, Broadcast Promo and Animation which can be found here on his MVO page as well as his personal web site, which he also updated recently.
BO BARKER: It is the great pleasure of all the guys in MVO: The Voice-Over Guys to welcome Bo Barker to the group. You’ve heard him many places not the least of which was on midwest regional McDonalds commercials broadcast during Super Bowl LI. He’s also recently been secured as the new branding voice for Molloy College airing in New York City radio, TV and digital media outlets. Destination Network selected Bo to narrate two separate segments on their travel channel highlighting historic landmark restaurants in New Orleans. And if you’re an ice fisherman in the upper Midwest of the United States or in Canada, you’ve heard Bo on TV commercials for Eskimo, the world’s number one supplier of ice fishing gear.
GEORGE WASHINGTON III: George has run almost the entire gamut of voiceover jobs since his last update. For SAP, he completed a well received narration and for Harris Teeter George was the live announcer for the supermarket chain’s awards program. He rounds out his update with an E-Learning narration for Dollar Express, a radio commercial for Duke Health and radio and TV commercials for McDonalds.
