What’s New With DUSTIN EBAUGH Fall 2019 is part of a series in which MVO: The Voice-Over Guys checks-in with one of our male voiceover talents to learn more about a recent media project he has voiced. Here’s what Dustin shared with us.
1. You mentioned a really cool voiceover project in your recent MVO: The Voiceover Guys update. Can you talk about who the project was for and where it was heard or seen?
I did a set of commercials for Zaxby’s, which is a chain of chicken restaurants in the southeast. There were 12 TV spots, 6 radio spots and 6 web spots.
2. What made the media production’s content interesting from your perspective?
They sent me a completely different direction in the session, to a more homespun and folksy kind of read.
3. As the voice talent in the media project, were there any technical or performance challenges during this voiceover recording session?
I was just trying not to get hungry talking about all that delicious Zaxby’s chicken. It’s honestly the best chicken I’ve had!
4. Is there anything else you would like us to know about this voiceover project?
It was pretty cool because I didn’t audition for the job. They had kept my audition from a previous campaign for which the agency wanted me, but the client had other ideas. This time Zaxby’s let them choose the voice and they remembered me and we did the campaign.
